Community Peace Officers

Director Dave Ness

Dave started with the Town of Carstairs in August of 2018 after retiring from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police with 27 years of service.  Dave would like to see the Community Peace Officers continuing to be involved in Community Events, Schools, conduct Foot Patrols and visits to Senior Centers.  Carstairs Community Peace Officers will also continue to be proactive with regards to Bylaw and other issues in the Town of Carstairs.

When you see our members out in the Community please feel free to speak to us to let us know what is going on in the area, or even just to engage in conversation, we are there to help where we can.

Community Peace Officer - Arlene Andrews

Arlene has worked for the Town of Carstairs for many years, but for the past 9 years has been a Peace Officer with Protective Services.  Arlene enjoys interacting with the members of our community at various events as well as informally on a day to day basis.  Arlene is a proponent of community involvement and would like to continue to work with the schools, seniors and other groups to continue to make Carstairs a great place to call home.

Arlene has seen many positive changes in the community over the years and is happy to be able to work to help keep our community safe.

Community Peace Officer - Chris Mueller

Chris is the newest addition to the Town of Carstairs, having started in December of 2018. Chris brings a wide variety of experience to the Protective Services Department. Chris worked as a Paramedic in Ontario before transitioning into being a Correctional Peace Officer at the Edmonton Remand Centre and Peace River Correctional Center for the last 4 years.

Chris is excited to continue to build a positive rapport with the Town of Carstairs and help keep Carstairs a safe and enjoyable place for everyone to enjoy.

Community Peace Officer - Dan Beausoleil

Dan has worked with the Town of Carstairs for 7 years.  Prior to becoming a member of the Protective Services Department, Dan was a Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer in Alberta.  Dan is a community oriented person and likes to be involved in both youth and adult events or presentations.

Dan has a focus on traffic safety and would like to see Carstairs be a safe place for both our motoring and pedestrian traffic. His patrols will focus on maintaining safety through education and enforcement of a number of Provincial Statutes.
