Community Engagement Site

The Carstairs Community engagement site is located within the Carstairs Public Library facility at 1402 Scarlett Ranch Blvd.  The site provides learners of all ages with high speed data utilizing the SuperNet technology.  Learners can access webinars and online courses using a computer in the site or students can bring their personal laptop and access the free Wi-Fi.  The library can assist learners in registration for online courses through Campus Alberta Central (Olds College and Red Deer College) and provide exam invigilation enabling learners to stay right in their own community saving time and travel costs.

The library offers a variety of free programs in the site that satisfy curiosity and lifelong learning on topics such as; health and wellness, crafts for kids, movie presentations, Red Cross Babysitting Course etc.  The site also can be rented at a very reasonable cost to host meetings and run workshops for approximately 12 people.  It is equipped with a smartboard that can be used for PowerPoint presentations and other visuals needed for meetings and workshops.  Contact the library at 403-337-3943 for more information and to book the site.
