There are many great residential subdivisions in town, offering safety and a real sense of community. Family is important in Carstairs. Check out the many programs we offer young families. Our recreation facilities include soccer fields, tennis courts, arena and curling rink, as well as a splash park now in the planning stages. The campground is simply beautiful, and features a replica grain elevator with many historical items on exhibit.

Enter the Town's Photo Contest and have your pictures used on our website!Why Is Carstairs an amazing place to live, work and play? Send us your photos that tell us that you agree with the question that Carstairs is an amazing place to live. The contest closing date is December 31, 2010. There are prizes for 1st, 2nd and third submissions that best answers the question. The three winners will be highlighted on the town website.

Gov't of Canada invests in Carstairs Rec Park!
Canada's government will contribute towards the development of a parcel of land into a new recreation park for the town of Carstairs, Blake Richards, Member of Parliament for Wild Rose, announced on October 24th.

The project will convert existing green space into a recreation park by installing baseball diamonds, soccer fields, a football field, bathrooms, and a concession. The funding will also allow for the paving of walking and bicycle paths throughout the park, and the extension of the parking lot.

The Estate of Don Lafleur, a local Elks club member and sportsman, has provided $250,000 for the recreational facilities.
