The Town of Carstairs is located in south-central Alberta, just off the Calgary-Edmonton corridor, and features a quiet town living at its best.Carstairs has become the choice of many commuters, a getaway beyond a noisy urban life: a safe and friendly place to raise a family. Like most small Alberta towns, an active group of volunteers is the backbone for a large variety of clubs, groups, and service
organizations. We are home to a finely maintained and challenging 18-hole golf course, a Memorial Complex, abundant parks and playgrounds, Tourist Information Centre and a 28 site camp ground. Carstairs celebrates this year the opening of the new K-4 school, library and Community Engagement Centre. Our history is an agricultural community and is celebrated each year with the Farmers Market June-September, Ranch Rodeo in June, Beef & Barley Days and the annual rodeo in July, our three day Mountain View Music Festival in August, the High School Rodeo in September, 4-H Calf Show and Sale, Bull-A-Rama, Horticultural Show, and Pumpkin Festival. Every November the Community Hall is home to the annual Christmas Craft Fair.
