Carstairs Town Clean Up Week is BACK! 

Pick up your voucher from the main office, one per household and drop off one half ton load to the Didsbury Landfill. Some restrictions apply. Disposal fees for mattresses, fridges and freezers will NOT be covered by this program.

Vouchers can be picked up at the Town Office: Starting April 28, 2025

Come celebrate Carstairs' Scottish heritage at this free, family-oriented event. Watch pipers and dancers parade down main street in the morning, then head to Memorial Park for an afternoon of fun-filled activities.

Games and Activities in Memorial Park - 11:30 am until 1:30 pm

Canada Day Fireworks will be held July 1, 2026 at the Carstairs Golf Course. Stay at home to watch them or park at the Golf course or across Highway 2A in the open field.

Festivities include a fireworks display, pancake breakfast and one of the best parades in rural Alberta! There's an Outdoor Market, art show, kids games & activities, ball games, music at the gazebo and food vendors!

Time: BBQ 5 pm, Movie starts at 6:30 pm

The Town of Carstairs proudly presents this fun event for the whole family. This year we will be doing a free BBQ, games and activities until the movie starts in the park. Grab your lawn chairs, blankets or something to sit on to enjoy the outdoor movie in Memorial Park. Concession will be available during the event. This event has become one of the most anticipated and appreciated evenings of the year in our Community.                   

There is no charge for this event; we just ask that you bring along an item for the food bank.

A magical night in Carstairs when the town transforms into a winter wonderland for both children and parents. The Chamber of Commerce presents its annual Crazy Carstairs Christmas.

This night offers a chance to scoop up late night shopping with excellent deals from local merchants and is also a time for families to enjoy exciting festivities downtown. There are free hot dogs, hot chocolate and cookies. Kids will be able to sit on Santa's knee, have a horse drawn carriage ride. And the best part of all? The fireworks!
